Course Description

Cuba Libre - Innovation & Culture is a two-week study abroad course focusing on the emerging discipline of entrepreneurship in Cuba. The 2024 course runs from 1/1/24-1/14/24. The course has a prescribed curriculum designed to introduce students to the challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs. The course is also designed to introduce you to numerous other aspects of Cuba, including international relations between Cuba and the USA, the history and current state of the trade embargo, the differences between capitalistic and socialist economic systems, aspects of Cuban society, including music, art and cuisine, and a look at how Fidel Castro took control of the island in 1959 and how his influence is still present today.
